THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – August 1, 2019 – Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) ("Teledyne") announced today the successful completion of the previously announced acquisition by Teledyne of the gas and flame detection business of 3M for $230 million in cash. The gas and flame detection business includes Oldham, Simtronics, Gas Measurement Instruments (GMI), Detcon and select Scott Safety products.
On 16 October, Teledyne Technologies announced the acquisition of the assets of Falcon Analytical Systems & Technologies, LLC, located in Lewisburg, West Virginia USA. The manufacturer of gas and liquid chromatography (GC) products will be relocated to Englewood, Colorado USA where its operations will continue as a Teledyne product line. The Falcon portfolio brings with it decades of experience from its personnel, some of whom will continue as Teledyne employees.
As you may have seen from the agenda for the upcoming International Sales Meetings, we have many new products soon to be released. Today, I would like to inform you of three new major products that are being launched for pipeline natural gas, flare gas, waste gas and refinery fuel gas applications.
Founded in 1964, Teledyne Analytical Instruments manufactures gas and liquid analyzers, sensors and custom integrated analysis solutions. This includes hazardous area solutions meeting current NEC, ATEX and IECEx standards. TAI has an ISO 9001 certified quality management system in place.
