Q: How do I set the unit for manual rather than automatic start mode for the lamp?

A: (This answer pertains to any 6000 series unit with D2 lamp.)

To enter manual mode of the D2 power supply, do the following:

1) Turn power to the analyzer off.
2) Turn the unit on and hold the SW 2 switch on the small D2 power supply board. The LED display should read 0.
3) Push SW 2 one time - LED display on the same board should read 1.
4) Push again so it shows 2.
5) Push and release; wait for 2 to 3 seconds after every push until the display shows 6. The lamp should have started operating.

Leave the unit working in this state for continual manual operation of the lamp.
